"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."
Revelation 4:11

In life, we all have destinations we aim for—whether in ministry, marriage, career, or personal growth. We envision how we’ll feel when we achieve our goals and how we’ll express our gratitude to God.

However, there is an even better way to honour Him: by praising and worshipping Him today, regardless of our current circumstances. When we face setbacks, pain, tiredness, or confusion, worship becomes a profound act of faith. But when we say “thank you God for being God” worship becomes sacrifice, surrender and appreciation of His sovereignty.

Often, we thank God for what He has done or what we hope He will do in the future. But true worship transcends our circumstances. It’s not about where we are, where we’ve been, or even where we’re going. Instead, it’s about recognising and revering God for who He is. Worship Him not for the blessings, but for His inherent nature and divine attributes.

In these moments, acknowledging God’s sovereignty, goodness, and love despite our struggles can transform our perspective and bring peace to our hearts. My charge to you is this: remove yourself and replace it with God.

God is indeed our friend, walking alongside us through every trial and triumph. Yet, He is also the Almighty Creator, the Ruler of the universe. His majesty and power are beyond our comprehension, and He deserves our worship simply because He is God. When we focus on His greatness, our problems diminish in comparison and whatever else He is to us takes second place.

As our Father, God provides, protects, and loves us unconditionally. But beyond His paternal care, He is the omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God. He holds the world in His hands and orchestrates the events of history according to His perfect plan. Worshipping Him in this light reminds us of His ultimate authority and our place in His creation. See this not as an exercise to get something in return. See it as giving. Giving and giving alone. Giving without expecting.

Take a moment now to think about who God is. Reflect on His attributes—His holiness, mercy, grace, and faithfulness.

Consider His works throughout history and in your own life. Let these reflections lead you into a deeper appreciation of His character and a heartfelt response of worship.

I invite you to turn your eyes on Jesus.

Focus on the God who sustains your existence at this very moment.

Worship Him not because of what you hope He will do, but because of who He is.

Let our hearts and voices unite in praising the God who is worthy of all honour and glory.

Worship God for who He is, and let that be the source of your strength and hope.

Worship God in spite of your pain, on the journey to the miracle
